saturations’ , Parkes’ 37th release, expands on last year’s acoustic – based album ‘Cardigan Bay’ , exploring melody and dynamics with a broader palette of sounds.

‘saturations’ ranges from the uptempo pop of ‘don’t worry baby’ to the synth – based ‘run electro‘ and ‘rupert’ , to more contemplative tracks like ‘no choice’ and ‘we all need good’ .

saturations’ was recorded and mixed in New Brighton and features several vocal contributions from former  member of the L.E.D.s  Miss Mercury.

Blair Parkes is a New Brighton based musician and visual artist with a thirty year career of varied releases including the synth pop of the L.E.D.s, the song-writerly ‘range’, environmental sound art as ‘condensations’, and early flying nun guitar bands ‘all fall down’ and ‘the letter 5’.
